Recently, the machinery roared at the Daqiao Railway Station freight yard of the Yanji Carriage Depot, where bags of grains were being loaded into containers via conveyor belts. A 35-ton open-top container was filled to the brim in just half an hour, and then sent to Guangzhou, Maoming, Shenzhen, and other destinations through rail-sea intermodal transport.

In recent days, the Yanji Carriage Depot has intensified marketing efforts, scientifically allocated transportation capacity, optimized transportation organization, and spared no effort to ensure the efficient and rapid transportation of grain to the southern regions.

Dunhua County in Jilin Province and Ning'an City in Heilongjiang Province are key grain-producing areas in China. Since the beginning of this year, the grain market has been heating up, leading to increased demand for outbound grain transportation in these areas. The Yanji Carriage Depot has strengthened communication and coordination with grain reserve authorities and grain production and circulation enterprises, promoted and introduced preferential policies of railways in reducing social logistics costs, and fully served to guarantee the "Northern Grain Transportation to the South."
